Wishful Thinking

I was spellbound after reading a certain post in the Dawn Newspaper. It was about a skinny little moon that formed the backdrop of the childhood memories of the writer. How he missed that innocent little moon of his childhood. The moon when it was still unfazed by the happenings on his dear Earth. After reading it even I started thinking about that moon of my younger years. Just like he was, after seeing that skinny, little moon. Though, that silvery moon of my childhood has taken a refuge in the solitary darkness of the sky. I believe it is scared by what is happening in its world of paradise. The moon could not bear to look down and see the plight of its admirer .It could not bear to see Humanity losing out to Hatred and Atrocity. It could not bear to see that children who instead of playing with dolls and listening to fairytales are playing with weapons of mass destruction. It was morbid to see that Religion which is but a way to worship the Divine, to thank the Almighty has become the most prevalent reason for the mayhem and bloodshed engulfing the world. I sometimes feel that even God/Allah/Almighty despises the human race for its mortal ignorance and is waiting with bated breaths for the Judgment day to come.
